In short it is heated water that is sprayed on to the carpet at high pressure using a professional carpet cleaning machine. This not only breaks down dirt and makes for very efficient and successful cleaning but it also kills bacteria and mites that can be found in almost every carpet. This is by far the best deep cleaning method widely employed by professional cleaners when tackling all types of areas from commercial to domestic carpets and rugs.
Vaporised water is one component, the second one being special detergents and powders that are mixed in. Different chemicals are used according to the type of carped. The word “chemicals” in itself may sound dangerous but we can assure you this system has been tried and tested. They are completely harmless to the environment or when in contact with the skin which is why this cleaning method is preferred when it comes to upholstery cleaning too.
Depending on traffic, when they get unbearably dirty and (or) smelly but generally we recommend carpet cleaning once a year to refresh even if they look good visually.
